Texting and Driving Video

A new car safety video about the dangers of texting and driving.
Produced by Gwent police, the video shows 3 teenage girls giggling over text messages and distracting the driver.

The driver herself “Cassie” is the one doing the texting and drifts over in to the path of an oncoming vehicle causing a head on collission.

Where it differs from other ads id it doesn’t end with the harrowing scenes of the initial crash, but goes on to show the sad aftermath.

A particular poignant scene is the staring eyes of a baby in the the other car which we can only assume does not survive.

This video is being shown to teenagers throughout the UK in the hope of stopping them from texting or using mobile phones when driving.
