If you do a search for London 2012 medals count in google.co.uk you will see that Google are still listing Great Britain as United Kingdom.
Without getting involved with the politics of it all, we are known as Great Britain at the Olympics not United Kingdom.
Please spread this message around #wearegreatbritain and hopefully Google will correct this.
