2019 – Back to web work (a little)

20th December 2018 I was called in for another operation.

I initially thought it meant I would be spending Christmas in hospital, but fortunately it was a minor op too clear up an infection in my neck and hopefully stop them from occurring again.

My consultant did the op himself, basically a small incision and then the wound had a pack inserted with anti-bacteria stuff on it which helped the wound clear from the inside out, and 2 days later I was back at home waiting for Christmas.

It did mean a weekly trip to Coventry though where a nurse would pull out about 5cm of pack until the 4th or 5th week when it was all pulled out and the wound just healed itself.

Now in to early Feb 2019 I had finally finished my treatment which had started in May the previous year 🙂

I still had a PEG which was allowing me to syringe Forticips straight in to my stomach, was still getting tired easily, was still having monthly trips to Coventry hospital for check-ups and still barely doing any web work but by April thought I ought to start doing more.
