Updating my wheelchair ramps website

One of the 1st things I did when I learnt I had cancer in June 2018 was mothball my wheelchair ramp website.

Knowing I would be in hospital for a couple of months followed by another couple of months of treatment the last thing I wanted was people phoning up for information or advice about wheelchair ramps or people wanting to buy a wheelchair ramp.

I initially planned on just leaving the pages how they were but removing my phone from every page.

As it happened, I actually deleted half the site, removed my phone number, email address, contact forms etc.

So here we are nearly 12 months later and I thought it’s time I updated https://www.wheelchair-ramps.co.uk/, re-instated the pages I had deleted and put my contact details back on the pages.

Whilst doing this, I actually decided to give it a bit of a revamp, change the layout and general look of the site.

I also decided not to really push wheelchair ramps for sale but instead turn it more in to an information about wheelchair ramps site, a subtle difference but one that saw traffic to the site increase but not conversions.

I wasn’t too bothered about this as I hadn’t sold many ramps in recent years and was finding converting the site to an information site was getting me back to enjoying web work
