New Device was granted access to your Google Account scam Google Critical Alert 8764 accountsgoogle.com phishing

I had what looks like a really clever phishing attempt email today.

It was titled New Device was granted access to your Google Account and from Google Critical Alert 8764

The 1st thing I noticed about it was that it supposedly came from no-reply@login.accountsgoogle.com

Note the missing period between accounts and google as emails usually come from no-reply@login.accounts.google.com

I then looked in the headers to find eptagroup.net then on looking at the source the clickable links was all wrong.

If you get a similar email from login.accounts.google.com don’t click on any links and let me know in the comments below

Update on this: Looks like they are using a dropped domain myflatinspain.com to redirect through and are operating out of Gabon East West Africa
